James

Hi, I'm James!

I'm a teacher from the UK now living in Cape Town. I have over 10 years' experience teaching English in a variety of environments, from the classroom to online, and I have taught in France, Greece, and Brazil, as well as here in South Africa. I've also had online students of many different nationalities!

I've taught at all levels, but specialise in higher-level learning where we can really push your English to be the best it can be. I love conversational lessons where we can use your interests and experiences to improve your English, but I also have a deep passion for language and love exploring the fine details of why using certain words or grammatical structures will make you sound like a native speaker.

With working in so many environments across my career, I have got to know a wide range of teaching materials and put together many classes for specific purposes. Whether you want specific Business English classes, feel like exploring English through literature, or are preparing for an exam such as the TOEFL, I am happy to accommodate your needs.
